Born and raised in New Jersey, USA, Michael has always possessed a deep-seated creative drive.While artistic expression has long been a personal passion, the launch of his private studio, Maione Fine Art, marks an exciting new chapter that has been unfolding since 2025.Michael’s approach to visual art is refreshingly intuitive. As a completely self-taught artist, his techniques are not bound by traditional academic rules but are instead guided by an innate, instinctual understanding of color and composition.His work is centered primarily on vibrant acrylic painting on canvas.Driven by a constant desire to experiment, Michael enjoys painting across a variety of distinct styles, creating vivid landscapes, expressive impressionist works, and bold abstract pieces.This intuitive sense of rhythm extends beyond the canvas.A lifelong lover of music and entertaining, Michael brings a dynamic, rhythmic energy to everything he creates. His artistic journey is deeply rooted in performance; having spent over two decades as a Disc Jockey and always carrying a tune as a singer, his life is steeped in sound.A passionate, completely self-taught musician, he picked up the guitar at age nine, learned the blues harmonica in his fifties, and mastered the drums over the past three years.Driven by a relentless desire to learn new skills and fueled by the fast-paced energy of living with ADHD, Michael channels the tempo of his music directly into his visual work.Whether he is interpreting the scenery of his native Garden State or diving into pure non-objective form, his canvases are characterized by his confident, right-handed brushwork and a saturated color palette that commands attention.When he isn't painting or making music, his energetic world is balanced by his love for animals, always enjoying the company of dogs and cats.For Michael, art is fundamentally a mode of connection.
